From hidden voices to dissonant chords, tritones to infrasound, music in horror movies is meant to do more than just set the mood. Composers such as Harry Manfredini (Friday The 13th) and Charles Bernstein (A Nightmare On Elm Street) use certain tricks in their scores which can literally shake you to the core. Explore the spine-tingling affects of how music in horror films keeps you on your toes and forces you to sleep with one eye open.

Dan Lupo, creator of FiveMinuteMozart.com, a music education platform with over 2 million views and 20k+ subscribers, will present an incredible music education program that consists of a spoken lecture as well as live performances.

Presented in partnership with the Tewksbury Public Library. Made possible, in part, by the Groton Public Library Endowment Trust.
