IN PERSON: Robert Frost on the Farm with Jeffrey Zygmont

Tuesday, April 47:00—8:00 PMSibley HallGroton Public Library99 Main St., Groton, MA, 01450

In a celebration of both New England poetry and New England history, author and poet Jeffrey Zygmont recites a selection of poems about farming by Robert Frost. Frost’s expressive and much-loved poetry helps us appreciate the rigorous demands of farm life in our region a century ago. Recited from memory, each poem is accompanied by commentary about the experiences and emotions it expresses, plus background on Frost’s history that gives us insight into the poem’s origin and intention. This lively discussion and recital of some of Robert Frost’s best poems is a celebration of both New England farming and Robert Frost’s unique gift for capturing it in poetry.

Made possible by the Groton Public Library Endowment Trust.
