Slow down and relax with the meditative act of hand-stitching. We’ll use the running and other basic stitches and explore the use of color and texture to create a small stitched fabric collage. Learn about different methods, including the traditional Japanese boro mending technique, which reuses fabric in a decorative and sophisticated way. The instructor will provide fabric but you can bring your own old clothing or linens to upcycle. Needles and an assortment of threads will also be provided. All levels welcome. Please bring a bag to transport your materials.
