Homeschool Maker Space Meet Up for Ages 6-9
Thursday, October 31:00—2:30 PMSibley HallGroton Public Library99 Main St., Groton, MA, 01450
Does your child love to express what they've learned through artwork or projects? This is the program for you! Taking inspiration from each month's theme, children will design and build their own creation using our low-tech maker space supplies, such as legos and craft materials.
Our September theme is the ocean: ocean mammals, coral reefs, fish and conservation.
This is a great opportunity for those new to homeschooling to build their homeschool community and for those experienced with homeschooling, to make new friends.
All learning styles are welcome in this neurodivergent-affirming program. Children will be able to work at their own pace and have the choice to work together or individually.
Geared towards children ages 6-9. Parents are welcome to stay in the room to support their child or explore the Groton Library during this program.
About the educator: Cynthia Williams, M.Ed. has worked in many educational settings. She is the parent of children ages 6 & 8 and is working on creating more neurodivergent-affirming spaces.
