Groton Garden Club Annual Lecture

Known as “The Heirloom Gardener,” John Forti will discuss Engaging Youth and Ourselves in the Spheres of Nature and Gardening. It draws from John’s life long experience in museums, public gardens, children’s gardens and the local foods movement. We will learn about inspirational ideas we can use to engage kids and young adults, and restore our own engagement with the natural world. Join us for a refreshing look at how you can make a difference in the lives of children while strengthening family ties and habitat.

John Forti is a garden historian and ethnobotanist who has directed gardens for Plimoth Plantation, Strawbery Banke, the Mass Hort Society, and Bedrock Gardens. He is author of the book The Heirloom Gardener
