What is there to eat in the woods? Every season and landscape offers unique and nutritious plants to eat and prepare as medicine!  We will meet in Sibley Hall and then we'll go on a walk on the Rail Trail with Tim Swanson of Owl Eyes Wilderness Survival and learn about the most local, organic, and free food in our area!  Tim will talk about foraging ethics, safety guidelines, wild plant identification techniques, varieties of edible plants, plant family commonalities and respectful harvesting. Tim will also teach us fire skills as part of this Forgaging and Fire class.

Please dress for a walk in the woods with protective footwear and clothing, and rain gear if necessary.
