This hands-on workshop explores minicomics through drawing, story development and bookmaking. What’s a minicomic? Minicomics are handmade and self-published comic books, a common and inexpensive way for cartoonists to share their ideas. After the session, every student will take home their own minicomic in progress, as well as a finished minicomic authored by the group. All levels of experience are welcome!

Caleb Brown has read a lot of comics! He is a local artist and educator who loves libraries. Caleb’s last minicomic was about trash cans that sneak around town at night, throwing garbage everywhere.

The Teen Summer Reading Program is generously supported by the Groton Public Library Endowment Trust.
